SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2001--Singapore-based contract manufacturing giant Venture Manufacturing Ltd. recently began production from two maquiladoras in Tijuana.
With a combined area of 330,000 square feet, two facilities are being used for assembly and warehousing of computer laser printers for the world's largest computer printer producer, Hewlett Packard, based in Palo Alto, Calif. More than 300 new jobs have been created by the operation.
Venture is one of the leading companies in the growing business of electronics manufacturing services. In addition to electronics manufacturing, the firm offers original design and manufacturing, as well as e-fulfillment services. Its clients include numerous top Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Motorola, Iomega and Hewlett Packard. Venture has close to $1.5 billion (Singapore) in annual revenues. Last year the firm became the first Singapore-based manufacturing partner for Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet.
