Cognex Corporation and Cassady & Company join forces in South Central United States

August 11--2004--Cognex Corporation (NASDAQ: CGNX), the world's leading supplier of machine vision systems and Cassady & Company, Inc., a Little Rock, AR-based Automation Solutions Provider, have joined forces to provide the award-winning In-Sight(R) family of machine vision sensors to manufacturers in the South Central United States.

As a Cognex Authorized Vision Provider (AVP), Cassady will be the sole authorized distributor of Cognex In-Sight machine vision sensors in areas of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Western Tennessee, and Eastern Texas. Cognex's AVPs are part of a growing network of technical distributors who offer a variety of factory controls to manufacturers. Cognex In-Sight vision sensors are low-cost, high-performance, industrial-grade devices that excel in vision applications on the factory floor.
